And the winners of the 2008 Lutin Short Film Awards are…
The awards ceremony for the 11th Lutin Short Awards was held Thursday, June 26, at the Palais de Chaillot in Paris.
Arthur Harari picked up the Lutin Award for Best Fiction Film for La Main sur la gueule. The award for Best Animated Film was shared by Premier Voyage by Grégoire Sivan and Même les pigeons vont au paradis by Samuel Tourneux. Élizabeth Marre won the award for Best Director for Manon sur le bitume, while the award for Best Screenplay was given to Marina De Van for La Promenade. Jean-Gabriel Périot waltzed off with the Best Editing prize for 200,000 Fantômes, and Laurent Dailland was voted Best Cinematographer for La Dernière Journée. Nieto was honored with the award for Best Special Effects for Carlitopolis Redux.
One film, Heureux qui comme Édouard... won four Lutin Awards: Best Sound for Éric Chevallier, Benjamin Le Loch, Thierry Lebon, and Samy Bardet; Best Costume Design for Valérie Da Costa ; Best Production Design for Maëlig Hamard, and Best Original Music for Franck Lebon.
Johanna Ter Steege claimed the Best Actress award for Magic Paris, while Jean-François Stévenin was honored as Best Actor for Le Vacant. And finally, the award for Best Producer was presented to Ludovic Henry and Olivier Berlemont for Le Vacant and Résistance aux tremblements.
