To enable audiences around the world to experience the thrill of sport during the Olympic Games in Paris from July 26 to August 11 (and from August 28 to September 11 for the Paralympic Games), Unifrance will be showcasing on its social networks, from July 26 to August 13, films and audiovisual works featuring sports, which will be available for international streaming.
These recommendations will take the form of themed groupings featuring various sporting disciplines: cycling, soccer, tennis, basketball, swimming, as well as athletics, volleyball, mountaineering, gymnastics, horse riding, paratriathlon, and wrestling!
Published twice a week between July 26 and August 13 on Instagram and Facebook, these posts will feature video excerpts.
A total of 32 works in which sport is central will be honored, to encourage foreign audiences to (re)discover them on local or global platforms: feature-length fiction films, audiovisual works, documentaries, series, children's animation, short films... and a few classic films.
The selected works are all available for international online viewing, although restrictions may apply depending on the country.
Among the works presented, Internet users will be able to discover and rediscover titles such as Nadia (2021) by Anissa Bonnefont, Water Lillies (2007) by Céline Sciamma, Athleticus (2018) by Nicolas Deveaux, Final Set (2020) by Quentin Reynaud, and The Witches of the Orient (2021) by Julien Faraut.
