The nominations for the Orange British Academy Film Awards, Britain’s equivalent to the Academy Awards, have been unveiled.
La Vie en Rose and The Diving Bell and the Butterfly will be vying for the Best Foreign Film prize.
La Vie en Rose also boasts six other nominations: Marion Cotillard for Best Actress; Christopher Gunning for Best Music; Olivier Raoux for Best Production Design; Marit Allen for Best Costume Design; Laurent Zeilig, Pascal Villard, Jean-Paul Hurier, and Marc Doisne for Best Sound; and Jan Archibald and Didier Lavergne for Best Make-Up and Hair. The film has so far attracted 325,000 spectators in Great Britain.
The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, which is slated for release in Britain on February 8, is competing in the Best Adapted Screenplay category.
The BAFTA awards ceremony will take place in London on February 10.
