The Sprockets Toronto International Film Festival for Children, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, has awarded Azur and Asmar by Michel Ocelot its Audience Prize for Best Animated Film.
This French film was in competition with 42 other animated films viewed by audiences composed of a majority of young children, who showed their appreciation for the film’s story as well as its visual quality.
This award reflects the growing international recognition of the animated film Azur and Asmar, which attracted over 1.6 million spectators in France, and has been presented at numerous international film festivals.
