The film by Coline Serreau has picked up the Grand Prix and the Audience Prize at the 30th Norwegian International Film Festival.
At the 30th Haugesund International Film Festival, held from August 17 through 25 in Norway, "Chaos" has made a splash, winning both the Festival Grand Prix and the Audience Prize. The film's success at the festival shows promise for a brilliant career, with its commercial release slated for late October (handled by Oro Film). This will be the second French film to be distributed by this newly founded outfit, in operation since the start of this year. It is headed by Age Hoffart, previously with Europafilms. Oro Film has also released "8 Women" by François Ozon, also a contender at Haugesund, alongside "Time Out" by Laurent Cantet (released in October by Arthaus), "One Swallow Brought Spring" by Christian Carion (released in September by AS Fidalgo) as well as "Divine Intervention" by Elia Suleiman and "The Son" by Luc & Jean-Pierre Dardenne.
