Spain: Amelie swoops away a Goya

“Amelie from Montmartre” was awarded the Goya for Best European Film at the annual Goyas ceremony, Spain’s equivalent of the Oscars.

“The Others” by Alexandro Amenabar won 8 Goyas, including Best Film, Best Director and Best Screenplay.
