Now boasting 203 prints in circulation in Germany, Jean-Pierre Jeunet's film has pulled in 160,000 spectators in its third week, representing an increase of 68% compared to the previous weekend's results. "Amelie" thus attracts a healthy average of 808 spectators per print, behind "Planet of the Apes" (1,120 spectators per print in its opening week) and "Bridget Jones' Diary" (874 spectators per print in its second week.) "Amelie" has already tallied box office receipts totaling DM7.4 million in Germany.
