Agnès Jaoui's first feature film as a director has won her the “David di Donatello,” Italian equivalent of the Cesar awards, for Best Foreign Film.
"The Taste of Others" was up against three other films: "Chocolat" by Lasse Hallstrom, "Billy Elliot" by Stephen Daldry and "In the Mood for Love" by Wong Kar-Wai. Released on January 19 by Lucky Red, the film has just crossed the 300,000 admissions mark at the Italian box office, and is still currently showing in theaters.
