The 24th edition of the Asia TV Forum & Market, the largest audiovisual market in Asia, took place in Singapore from 5 to 8 December at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Center. Unifrance set up a stand hosting 19 distributors of French audiovisual programs. An ideal opportunity to meet the main Asian buyers present at the market.
An online screening room enabled Asian buyers to discover the latest French programs offered by distributors.
The Unifrance stand welcomed a local delegation from the Singapore government, led by Kiat How Tan, Senior Minister of State/Ministry of Communications & Information, Minh Di Tang, French Ambassador to Singapore, Justin Ang, Assistant Chief of Executive IMDA and Pierre Jalladeau, Regional Attaché for South East Asia.
Unifrance organized, on Dec 6, a cocktail reception in partnership with the Ambassade de France in Singapore to celebrate French creation and promote business opportunities.
The Ambassade de France in Singapore and Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), with the support of Unifrance and the Institut Français in Paris, organized a panel discussion on adaptations and their challenges: profitability, costs, trends, and the expectations of audiences in different territories. Two French speakers took part in these discussions: Julien Fabre, Global TV & Transmedia Director at Ubisoft, at Alexandre René, VP International Cinema Sales at France tv distribution.
