Filmmaker Rachid Hami will be touring the USA from November 1 through 14, as part of the Young French Cinema program.
Since 2015, this program, organized year-round by Unifrance and Villa Albertine, has offered a simple, flexible scheme for programming contemporary French films without local distributors to North American movie theaters, film libraries, and universities,
Rachid Hami will present his latest feature film For My Country in the following universities: University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, NYU, Columbia and Maysles Cinema (Harlem) in New York, Princeton University in New Jersey, the Austin Film Society and the Saint Louis Film Festival (Missouri).
The screening at the Austin Film Society will take place on November 9 as part of the New French Cinema Week,mini-festival, the result of a partnership between the Austin Film Society, Premiers Plans Angers, and Unifrance.
Two other films from the Young French Cinema 2023 program will also be presented: Mother and Son and Love According to Dalva.
