For its 60th anniversary, MIPTV, the global market for audiovisual content, will return to the Palais des Festivals in Cannes from April 17 to 19, 2023. The market will host more than 180 stands and 530 exhibiting companies from around 100 countries. The scope of this year's edition is extensive, with several branches of the industry represented through MIPDOC, MIPFORMATS, MIPDRAMA, and the Future of Kids TV Summit.
Unifrance will have a new stand at the Palais des festivals (P-1.M4), where it will welcome 44 member companies. On Tuesday, April 18, at 6:00 pm, Unifrance will host a cocktail reception to celebrate French audiovisual creation and increase opportunities for professional meetings.
Panel: "French Documentary is getting serialised! Writing the next success story."
On Tuesday, April 18, from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m., at the Espace Marguerite of the Producers Hub (R8), Unifrance will present a panel on the theme of the growing development of documentary series in French production.
France has always showcased its variety and creativity in storytelling the real world, culminating this year with the French “Année du documentaire” (Year of Documentaries) organized by the French Ministry of Culture.
After years of qualitative stand-alone programmes, the French documentaries are embracing the serial format and already excelling at it. Let’s hear from the creators and distributors of fresh successes in documentary series.
On this occasion, Unifrance will invite three of its documentary members to discuss this trend during a discussion moderated by Sarah Hemar, Director of Audiovisual at Unifrance. Isabelle Graziadey(Executive Director International Copro, Sales & Acquisitions – Terranoa), Myriam Weil (Head of Documentaries – Federation Studios), and Alix Lebrat (Chief Operating Officer TV Series –STUDIOCANAL) will participate in the panel.
