Created in 2015, the Match Me! program is aimed at emerging production companies – with distinct focus and strong visions – who are developing first or second feature film projects.
This year for the first time, Unifrance is joining forces with the Locarno Film Festival for this program, forming a partnership that offers three French producers (two female producers and one male producer) the opportunity to expand their international network.
Spanning three days, from August 5 through 7, 2022, the participants will meet with industry professionals from more than a dozen countries, including Spain, Italy, Lithuania, the Philippines, Poland, the UK, and Taiwan, among others.
Unifrance is particularly proud to support the work of these three production companies, selected by the team at Locarno Pro from among 11 applications made by French companies, both in their search for coproduction partners as well as for financing, potential buyers and distributors.
The following three companies were selected:
Balade Sauvage Productions: 2 projects
Producer: Charlotte Vande Vyvre
- Magistrate by Pierre Mazingarbe
- La Sarramauca by Sarah Lasry
Jonas Films: 2 projects
Producer: Elsa Klughertz
- The Island (Une île) by Hong-Kai Liang
- The Best Part (Le Beau Rôle) by Victor Rodenbach
Petit Chaos: 3 projects
Producer: Thomas Hakim
- All We Imagine as Light by Payal Kapadia
- Ikimanuka by Samuel Ishimwe

A Unifrance delegation will also be present in Locarno to accompany the industry professsionals and artists attending the event.
