The complete program for the festival and the names of the international jury members will be revealed on January 5. We are eagerly awaiting sharing this with you!
Julie Caty is a French animation director. In her films, she allows a lush, poetic, psychotropic, and reflexive pop-punk universe unfold. Her latest film, Normal, was selected for the 2020 UniFrance Short Film Award.
About the teaser: “Even though MyFrenchFilmFestival didn’t wait for this strange pandemic episode in order to propose an online festival, I thought above all about movie theaters and wanted to pay tribute to them through this teaser. Because we all know how much we miss this collective and individual experience that is cinema! By exploiting the cliché, I’m directing spectators from all over the world, and inviting them to gather in the red seats of a laptop cinema as if to say ‘From the four corners of the world, let’s go to the cinema together! From the four corners of the world, let’s share this generous and curious selection of French-language films!’” — Julie Caty
