After a day devoted to audiovisual content with the participation of TVFI, from 17 to 19 November, films proposed by UniFrance members will follow one another. The programme of the edition comprises 12 feature films (including Home Front, Bye Bye Morons, A Good Man, and Faithful (photo), the documentary The Monopoly of Violence, and Calamity, an animated feature) represented by 12 different French exporters. Screenings will take place in the historic Cinesala de São Paulo movie theater, which will reopen after its shuttering several months ago due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The screening schedule is included in the photo gallery of this news item.
During the same week, UniFrance is supporting the Festival Varilux de cinéma français, which will be held from 19 November in around 100 cinemas across Brazil.
In these troubled times, UniFrance maintains a strong link with professionals and the Latin American public. After mobilising artists to support the 24th edition of the Tour de Cine Francés in Mexico, UniFrance will offer a virtual screening room of French cinema as part of its partnership with the Ventana Sur market, which will take place online from November 30 through December 4. In addition, UniFrance plans to organise in Mexico City, in collaboration with the Institut Français, a series of screenings of previously unseen films for Mexican buyers.
