The new edition of FoST puts the emphasis on French projects—the opportunity for UniFrance to support three immersive works which had their North American premieres at the event.
The seventh edition of Future of StoryTelling was held in New York on October 3 and 4, 2018. Once again, the two days of professional meetings hosted many French works. FoST was thus the occasion for the French Immersion program, dedicated to promoting immersive works, to present three new projects.
Initiated by the cultural services of the Ambassade de France in the United States and arising from a collaboration with UniFrance, the CNC, and the Institut Français, the mechanism lent support to the following films:
Less than six months after it was launched, French Immersion has hence already supported and promoted eight works.
At the end of the event, The Horrifically Real Virtuality was awarded the Innovation in Storytelling prize by a professional jury composed of representatives of Google, Sony, and Microsoft, among others.
