The "Francophone Work Group" has elected the actress and the producer to lead this think tank that focuses on considering initiatives to be undertaken by UniFrance in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Aïssa Maïga and Sébastien Onomo (Les Films d'Ici) will jointly take over the presidency of the UniFrance "Francophone Work Group." Launched three years ago by Éric Névé, this work group seeks to bring together French and French-speaking industry professionals (with 9 countries represented) to study and support the development of the movie sector in Sub-Saharan Africa, which is undergoing major changes at this time.
The group meets four times a year at the UniFrance offices, and decides upon concrete measures and initiatives to be pursued in the countries concerned. These initiatives include the 1st Professional Meetings held in Abidjan in June 2015 and the first Francophone Film Meetings, also held in Abidjan, in December 2016.
