The different sections of the prestigious Sundance Film Festival have been announced, and French cinema is present this year with three majority French features, of which two are in the Spotlight section, and a documentary in Competition focusing on Winnie Mandela. And nine short films - a record - have also been selected.
The 2017 edition of the Sundance Film Festival will take place, as has been the case for the past 35 years, in Park City, a small town in Utah, from January 19 through 29 next year.
Seven French features, three of which are majority French productions, as well as nine short films (two being minority French), four of which are in the Animation Spotlight, which presents only 14 titles. In all, this makes three more French shorts than in last year's selection.
