On the occasion of the commemorations of the attacks that shook France in 2015, we wish to share the very fine animated short Journal animé, by Donato Sansone, with you all.
After the attack on the Charlie Hebdo offices and staff last year, Canal+ demonstrated its support to the murdered cartoonists by initiating the Dessine Toujours collection: 10 animated shorts tackling, with imagination and brilliance, the theme of the freedom of expression.
We propose that you (re)discover the most emblematic film of this collection, Journal animé by Donato Sansone.
An artistic improvisation undertaken from day to day between September 15 and November 15, 2015, the film is inspired by the international news published in Libération, a French daily newspaper, where the tragic events that took place in Paris on November 13, 2015, abruptly appear.
Produced by Autour de Minuit, Journal animé continues a fine international career, and is in the running for the 2017 Oscars and Césars.
After an exclusive premiere on Dailymotion, you can now see Journal animé for free, via UniFrance's website, until December 6, by clicking here.
With thanks to Canal+ and Autour de Minuit.
