As of October 1, 2016, Unifrance will introduce a new organization for its offices abroad. Jérémy Segay has been appointed UniFrance representative in Seoul, in charge of operations in South Korea and South-East Asia. In this way, UniFrance aims to intensify its efforts in Asia, which in 2015 became the leading export market for French films.
At the age of 40, Jérémy Segay worked previously as audiovisual attaché at the French Office in Taipei (Taiwan). A specialist in Asia and the Asian movie sector, particularly in relation to co-productions with Asia, Segay has notably served as curator for the National Museum of Singapore and as a member of the selection committee for the Directors' Fortnight and project leader for Paris Cinéma. He has also been responsible for the coordination and programming of numerous movie industry events, including the Deauville Asian Film Festival, and has published a large number of articles and participated in many conferences and lectures on issues concerning challenges involved for the movie industry in Asian markets.
For information, UniFrance also has correspondents in New York, Beijing, and Tokyo.
