"The Taste of Others" represents France at the Oscars

The National Center for Cinematography has selected "The Taste of Others" (aka "It Takes All Kinds") by Agnès Jaoui to represent France in the Best Foreign Film category at the Oscars. After a successful run in France (garnering 3.7 million spectators), the film went on to pursue its career in North America. It was awarded the Grand Prix of the Americas at the Montreal World Film Festival, and was also well received at the New York Film Festival. Its US release is slated for February 2001 (distributed by Off Line).
