Synopsis
Set in Paris in the 1830s, this rare Marcel L’Herbier film - made during the Occupation but not released until after WWII - uses the opera’s libretto and the changes of seasons to portray the Bohemian lifestyle of Rodolphe (Louis Jourdan) and his three friends, their tragi-comic dealings with their landlords of their attic dwelings and their love affairs with Phémie (Suzy Delair) , Musette (Gisèle Pascal) and Mimi (Maria Denis)...
