Synopsis
Théo (age 8) struggles to get by in a child welfare facility, asking every morning why he isn’t allowed to have a family. Damien (age 45) and Antoine (age 48) are struggling 500 km away, battling bureaucracy to renew their adoption certification. From the moment they first meet, Théo, Damien, and Antoine instantly connect. It’s as if they’d always been waiting for one another. But this is only the beginning of a battle against bureaucracy and prejudice to ensure that this encounter leads to an adoption. A whirlwind of emotion and hope, because in the case of a late adoption, it’s not the parents who adopt. It’s the child who chooses them.
