Synopsis
In the quiet French town of Charnay-les-Mâcon, in the heart of the Burgundy vineyards, the local gendarmerie brigade takes great pride in keeping the peace, even though they have very little to do. That is, until a priceless diamond vanishes from a Belgian museum and chaos quietly rolls into town… hidden inside a shipment of garden gnomes bound for the annual village festival. Unaware that two clumsy sibling thieves are right under their noses, the well-meaning but ill-prepared gendarmes suddenly find themselves facing an unprecedented crime wave: garden gnomes disappearing by the dozen. Slapstick chaos, heartwarming comedy, and the constant question: who’s really chasing whom?
