Synopsis
In 1900, in an arid region of Berry, France, drought had been raging for over a year. The trees have dried up, the crops have failed and the animals are dying of thirst. A desperate farmer appeals to an old woman who lives in an isolated tower. She promises to make it rain in exchange for a sacrifice: his newborn son.
