Synopsis
In 1786, Jocelyn enters seminary, leaving his share of his inheritance to his sister. In 1793, he is about to be ordained when the Revolution forces him to flee into the Alps. There he meets Laurence, who is disguised as the young boy. Their friendship turns to love when Jocelyn discovers the truth about her. But, faithful to his oath to the superior of the seminary, Jocelyn refuses to abandon his faith.
