Synopsis
Life inside a wasp’s nest. Activity is at its most intense in spring, when the female, impregnated by the male in winter, builds an embryonic nest, which is then completed by industrious asexual female worker wasps. Over the season they ensure the colony’s survival, feeding the larvae and constructing new chambers for the nest. Once they have completed the job, they die of exhaustion.
