Synopsis
The story of Edgar Morin, sociologist, philosopher, and "planetary humanist" is intimately linked to the history of a city that profoundly influenced his thinking: Paris.
The capital of his heart, the symbol of resistance and the engaged thinker, Paris was the scene of all of the significant events in his intellectual, political, and romantic life. From Montmartre to Saint-Germain-des-Prés, from the Porte de Versailles to the Marais, Edgar Morin journeys back through his life across different districts of the city while discussing the defining principles of his "complex thinking."
