Synopsis
Fulgence reveals to Victorine that he wants to take her away from the Vanderke family - who directs the family business – as soon as they get married. Furious, Victorine announces to her father Antoine that their wedding is cancelled. Antoine orders his daughter to obey to his future husband but Mr Vanderke intervenes and invites Fulgence to explain the reasons of his departure.
