Synopsis
Between reminiscences of nomads, old fantasies about an oasis on the Silk Road, ambivalence of urban models, Soviet past, and new influences, the young capital of Kazakhstan evolves in a complex equation. The plaything of its sultan former president, the new Nur-Sultan bears the imprint of its creator everywhere.

Sixteen-year-old Diane exists exclusively through her mother's gaze. But this intensely close bond between Diane and her mother, Sophie, is becoming increasingly problematic for the teenager.
