Synopsis
A hotel room and a few sweets, whose wrappings pile up like leaves of gold: we know Jean-Claude Rousseau makes films with very little and that this little takes on an unexpected power through harmony and disruption. Throw in three windows overlooking a square in Lisbon, a Chantal Akerman interview and round-the-clock coverage of the 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris, and what emerges is a genuine tragedy, as simple as those of Racine.
