Synopsis
They were protected, all the same. Their caution reassured them, faced by the political and social context demanding for more security. There were the railings in the street. Then the code for the inner courtyard. The elevator was state of the art, with a magnetic key allowing access to the upper floors. And then, their door, on the landing, reinforced and rendered secure by several locks. And yet, they weren't able to prevent death from entering. Claude had succumbed, the victim of a heart attack, while the first aid team had remained blocked outside their apartment building, confounded by all the codes.
