Synopsis
Medical desertification advances. Throughout the Eure region, there are now only three practicing doctors. The druggist in Damville feels the effects. Debt-ridden, the poor man feels very alone this Christmas Eve. When his friend the butcher tries to influence the decision of the local council concerning the creation of a medical clinic, he feels vaguely that his fate is being determined just down the road, at Doctor Nestor's place.
