In the heart of Notre-Dame-des-Landes, Liminbout, a hamlet of a dozen inhabitants sticks to its fight against the proposed and contested airport planned for the region. Farmers long embedded in the region, union-belonging farmers, renters overburdened with debt who've come looking for a better life, and squatters in for the long haul here learn to live and struggle together. "Here," they say, "we aren't involved in politics, we live it." Far from the usual representations of the activists protesting the airport plans, the film immerses us in the closed off world of this village, which over the years, has become the symbol of the struggle against the airport and its world.
