Synopsis
Patrick Dubois is a widower and retired geography teacher who has been living in the same apartment for forty-five years, a three-room chaos in the centre of Paris. Muffled up in a threadbare, terry-towelling bathrobe, he spends his days listening to Radio Tango on an old, battered transistor radio, while drawing maps of former empires. His only link with the outside world is now Leslie, the concierge's daughter, who brings him his groceries.
