About
"A guy hits the road with a girl. And I as didn’t know exactly where the two kids were going , I shooted very abstract and symbolic images: a castle with naked people hanging at the windows and others withdrawn into themselves in foetal positions. When I look at it today I think this is exactly what has happened to our generation: in fact we are totally out of phase, overtaken by the world of consummation, the rush. At that time I hadn’t fully realized that fact.”
Philippe Garrel (Cahiers du Cinéma, 1968)
