    Synopsis

In 2002, in the middle of the Argentinian economic crisis, Arturo, a 77-year-old veterinarian, is kidnapped in Buenos Aires. Guillermina, his 30-year-old granddaughter, is contacted by the kidnappers. To cope with the situation and to assure her grandfather's release, Guillermina reaches out to mother Teresa. Teresa still lives in France, where she took exile with her little daughter in 1978, after her husband's death. He had opposed the dictatorship ruling at the time and paid for it with his life. Teresa's return to Argentina weighs on her, as she constantly has contradictory feelings for her homeland. While mother and daughter try to find the money for the ransom, tragic events from the past slowly rise to the surface and find an echo in the present.

Two fundamental moments of Argentinian history told through the tragic destiny of one family.
