Synopsis
Forty-year-old Julia is an alcoholic, brawler, liar; she’s manipulative, a woman at the end of her rope despite her still flamboyant appearance. Between two men and two glasses of vodka, the only attention she receives is from her friend Mitch, who tries to help her, help that she tosses aside. Addled as she is by alcohol, she takes comfort in the idea that life has been unfair to her, that she is no way responsible for her wasted existence. Suddenly catching a glimpse of just how lost she is, and after her encounter with Elena, a Mexican woman, Julia convinces herself, as much out of panic and desperation than out of greed, to commit a violent act. So begins a headlong rush that will lead her to choose life over death.
