Synopsis
A student of Sufi poetry and oriental dance in Cairo, Dunia is looking for herself and aspires to become a professional dancer. During a competition, she encounters charming Dr. Beshir, an illustrious Sufi thinker and man of letters. With him, she’ll taste the pleasure of words in her studies about ecstasy in Sufi poetry, and will discover, in his arms, the pleasure of the senses. But she’ll need to confront tradition, which has destroyed her capacity for pleasure, to be able to liberate her body and to dance with her soul.
