Synopsis
In Burkina Faso, ancestral customs often take the place of law in a state confronted by misery and the weight of traditions.
In the countryside, some unexplained deaths are attributed to “soul eaters” – women presumed by the villagers to exercise occult and evil powers. Hence these women are marginalized and become the scapegoats for a whole society.
