Kabala
Synopsis
Kabala, a small village of the Mande cruelly hit by drought, struggles between life and death. In fact, the holy Well of the Ancestors presents signs of drying up inexorably. The dance of fire is organized to bring it back to life. Hamalla cannot participate because doubt is cast over his legitimacy. Humiliated, Hamalla leaves the village and the woman he loves and goes away to the Land of the Mines. Four years later, he returns to the village, sick. Kabala is a village locked into its traditions and Hamalla must convince the wise men of the village of the vital necessity of drilling in to the sacred Well, symbol of the spirituality of the village. His efforts will pay.
