The House of Fools
Synopsis
Like the other asylum patients, Janna, the accordionist, is totally bewildered : the train, the wonderful train that delights them each day, didn't pass last night and now, this morning, all the medical staff have vanished. War has just come to this region on the border between Russia and Chechnya. The patients, left to their own devices, organise themselves as best they can and Janna seeks refuge in her dream world : she is the fiancee of the world-famous singer Bryan Adams and her bed is surrounded with photos of her idol. Suddenly, the war reaches the asylum : the Chechens invade, settle in and co-habit with the inmates.
