Synopsis
Venus, a Puerto Rican teenager, abandoned and left to her own devices by her drug addict parents, grows up in Spanish Harlem where a widow takes care of her. The widow’s detective lover becomes her surrogate father – against his will.
Chased by her demons and trying to find her own path in life, Venus runs away and joins a violent girl gang. In conflict with the whole world and believing that her police informer boyfriend has betrayed her, she slips inexorably deeper into strife. Her luck turns when the detective crosses paths with her one last time.
