Synopsis
During the long summer vacation at an isolated farm in the Limousin region, David, 15, gets drunk for the first time one blistering hot afternoon. Both of his uncles have invited some old buddies around for a boozy barbecue. The teenager, keen to experience adult life, allows these crude, talkative men to get him drunk. David wanders through the parched countryside looking for desire and love. Alcohol clouds his thinking - already affected by his desire to rebel against these men - and leads him to react in an extreme way.
