Synopsis
In a village somewhere in provincial France, Bertrand, a young man of nineteen, sets off for his first day at work. He has to help Herman, a forester, and Charles, an obscur mystic, to fell trees in the forest. Everything goes well until Hermen tries to teach Bertrand the art of tree-felling. The chainsaws are turning and so is the wind.

Sixteen-year-old Diane exists exclusively through her mother's gaze. But this intensely close bond between Diane and her mother, Sophie, is becoming increasingly problematic for the teenager. At high school, she would like to be loved like she is at home and expresses it in an awkward way like when she exchanges a favor for a look, in the toilets.
