Synopsis
In Antonio’s jungle, the balance of nature has been turned upside down… A “gringo” has slaughtered a jaguar’s cubs, and in revenge, she’s attacked and killed some men living at the river’s edge. The village mayor, loathed by everyone, organises a roundup and orders Antonio, despite his reluctance, to be the guide. Antonio’s life is going to change: over with, the tranquillity of his jungle hut… over with, reading romance novels featuring the lovely Josefina… Antonio, his friend the dentist, the mayor and a group of men get to work. Their undertaking proves dangerous, and members of the expedition quickly abandon it. But Antonio decides to stick to his guns. He knows he’s the only who understands the jaguar and who’s able to restore the equilibrium between nature and man. Yet, the jaguar behaves strangely, taking him where she wills. The hunter becomes the prey and the duel begins.
