Skin of Man, Heart of Beast
Synopsis
After fifteen years' absence, Coco returns to the family homestead. Five-year-old Aurélie already loves this stranger. Her older sister, Christelle, mistrusts him and foresees the chain of events that his intrusion will cause. The adults can't or won't see what's going on. Not Francky, not Alex, Coco's two brothers, not even their mother, the last hope for family unity. When tragedy befalls them, they fight each other like insects in a trap. The clan's explosion is inevitable. Maybe, deep down, it was actually necessary? For, it's from darkest obscurity that a glimmer of light can shine forth.

About
"I look at my childhood and bang up against a distant time wherein I can change nothing, transform nothing. Events shaped me, but I didn't control them. They don't belong to me and they're forever irreversible. Making movies, in particular this one, my first, is a way of grabbing hold of that distant time, that primitive world. I imagine it'll be the same with future films, although they'll tell different tales. For this film is fiction. I love stories, they're the joy that has stayed with me since childhood."
