About
"Amores que matan" derives its narrative effiency from a concrete cinematic genre : "black comedy" and takes an ironic look at the institution of marriage and by extension the relationship within the couple. Our aim was to arrive at a compact, seamless screenplay capable of captivating the viewer from start to finish. In opting for unity of space, the dramatic structure was given added strength. This choice, one common to European comedy, presents certain difficulties which we wished to overcome by the use of the cinematic language of which we spoke earlier. (Jose Luis Olaizola, producer - Juan Manuel Chumilla, director.)
