About
"The Road Trip" was a magnificent screenplay, winner of the Franco Solinas Prize. It is now a film that we are delighted to have produced with our Italian friends. This story of friendship between a group of teenagers who, in the middle of the war, cross the whole of Fascist Italy to see their team win an important football match, seemed surprisingly modern and accurate to us. One can only be charmed by the tact and modesty of this tale that says serious things with gaiety and that reconstitutes with authenticity, more accurately than any history thesis, the atmosphere of troubled times. This film contains truculence and humanity worthy of the best popular cinema, both in France and Italy."
