Synopsis
During the same evening, a servant cries over his master's death, and a woman gives birth to a son. The man who has died is a painter famous for his paintings of religious subjects, but also for his haughtiness with regard to his fellow men: Georges de La Tour.

Sixteen-year-old Diane exists exclusively through her mother's gaze. But this intensely close bond between Diane and her mother, Sophie, is becoming increasingly problematic for the teenager.
