Cambodia : a peace agreement has now been signed. Far from Phnom Penh, the tiny village of Cheng Mean Chey is like any other and its inhabitants live according to nature and outside events... Twenty years of war, fatricidal hatred, famine, and exile have left their indelible mark. The villagers try their best to organize their daily lives in spite of the permanent threat of Khmer Rouge raids and the mines scattered around. In Cheng Mean Chey, everyday life goes beyond the bounds of fear.
